Raising funds to purchase new cat traps for the cattery >^..^< · 10 February 2021

Established in 1897, the ManxSPCA rescues, rehabilitates, re-homes or releases more than 1,000 companion and wild animals on the Isle of Man every year. It deals with more than 7,000 calls from the public annually, and receives no funding from government. It is reliant on the generosity of its supporters, and is grateful for all the fund-raised income it receives.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are looking to purchase 4 new humane cat traps for our cattery, so we can can continue (and hopefully expand on) our TNR service. TNR stands for Trap, Neuter and Return for either feral or stray cats, which helps to control cat populations and ensures better health and welfare for cats.

We also loan out the traps to members of the public for catching feral/stray cats if they're in need of rehoming or veterinary care.

They are in constant use especially throughout the summer when we are catching kittens and adult cats for neutering, and we struggle to keep up with the demand, so having more traps will enable us to help more cats and kittens quicker.

Thank you in advance for your donations! We are always grateful >^..^<
